★ About UsedCarBase
Twenty-three years on the China–Ghana corridor.
From building materials in 2003 to verified used vehicles today. One team across both ends of the corridor.

★ Chapter One · Our Beginning
A corridor presence built since 2003.
“Building materials, then electronics, now used vehicles. The corridor stayed the same. Our focus sharpened.” — UsedCarBase
Our presence on the China–Ghana corridor began in 2003 with building materials trade — construction supplies, hardware, industrial fittings. The products Ghana’s growing economy needed, sourced from southern China at scale.
Over the years our category mix expanded: building materials remained the foundation, then consumer electronics, then industrial components. In 2011 the parent trading company was formally incorporated, consolidating the corridor expertise we’d accumulated since 2003 into a single operational entity.
UsedCarBase is the latest focused vertical of that twenty-three-year corridor presence. We don’t import vehicles as a side business or a new venture. We import them as a specialised application of trading infrastructure refined across building materials, electronics, and industrial goods since 2003.
★ Chapter Two · The Parent Company
Operating the China–Ghana corridor since 2011.
Our parent company has operated the China–Ghana corridor since 2011. Building materials. Consumer electronics. Industrial components. Customs documentation, port relationships, freight forwarder networks, and on-the-ground problem-solving in both ends of the trade — accumulated steadily since 2011.
UsedCarBase inherits all of it. The same customs broker who clears our parent company’s containers clears yours. The same freight forwarders we’ve used for fifteen years coordinate your shipment. The same after-sale follow-up culture our parent company built across building materials and electronics applies to vehicles.
We didn’t start a used-car export business yesterday. We launched a focused used-car vertical of a sixteen-year trading company.

★ Chapter Three · The Team
Four teams across two countries.
Our sourcing team is based in Foshan and handles customer relationships and yard selection. Our documentation team — with 15+ years of cross-border shipping experience — coordinates every customs declaration, bill of lading, and certificate of origin from our China office. Our inspection team supervises pre-shipment checks and condition reports on every vehicle. Together, these three teams are the people you’ll work with from inquiry to container loading.
The fourth team — Ghana Local Support — is launching Q3 2026. A dedicated post-arrival contact based in Accra, available for mechanic referrals, after-sale questions, and any issue that surfaces in the first 90 days after delivery. Until then, our senior team covers Ghana-side support directly via WhatsApp and through our network of vetted mechanics in Accra.
★ Chapter Four · Ghana Local
By appointment in Accra. Not a tourist office.
We don’t run a storefront in Accra. We run a coordination office — by appointment, for buyers who want to meet face-to-face before committing to a container. Most of our buyers prefer WhatsApp; for those who prefer in-person, we make time.
When the Ghana Local Support Team launches in Q3 2026, the office expands to include scheduled walk-in hours and a post-arrival service desk. Until then: WhatsApp first, in-person on request.
Coverage areas: Accra primary, Kumasi for dealer relationships, Tamale for occasional fleet buyers. We know which roads break suspensions and which don’t. The vehicles we ship are picked for that.
★ Chapter Five · Third-party Inspection
Project-based. Not a fixed partnership.
Some buyers ask whether we use a fixed third-party inspection partner. We don’t. We work with multiple independent inspection agencies on a project basis — chosen per vehicle, per buyer preference, per insurance requirement.
For most vehicles, our internal 150-point inspection — performed by our China-side mechanic before container loading — is what buyers see and rely on. For buyers who specifically request third-party verification, we coordinate with the inspection agency of their choice (or recommend one if they don’t have a preference).
Either way, the inspection report is yours. The cost is itemized on your invoice. The agency communicates with you directly if you prefer. We don’t gatekeep.
★ Trust Summary
Five things we own. Five things you can hold us to.
-
01
Senior-led inspection.
Every vehicle is driven by our senior team and mechanic before container loading. Not a workshop walk-around. An actual road test.
-
02
150-point internal inspection.
Documented, dated, and yours. Third-party inspection available on request, project-based.
-
03
Container loading on video.
You receive the file before the ship leaves port. The vehicle in your driveway is the vehicle in the video.
-
04
Six to twelve months engine and transmission warranty.
In writing. With your bill of sale. Not a verbal promise.
-
05
Parent company infrastructure since 2011.
The customs broker, freight forwarders, and after-sale culture behind every container we ship.
